Pochettino insists he is not worried about his job at Tottenham

Another match and another poor result for Tottenham Hotspur as they fell foul to a 3-0 defeat away to Brighton today in the Premier League.

This comes just days after the Lilywhites shipped seven against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, as the club sinks deeper into their worrying slump.

Mauricio Pochettino may have led Spurs to a Champions League Final mere months ago, but fan opinion of the Argentine is beginning to change in the cases of some.

With just three wins from eleven matches in all competitions so far this season, the pressure is mounting on the Tottenham coach.

Perhaps the international break comes at a good time for Poch, as he looks to regroup and plan a way out of the funk for Spurs.

Despite the run of poor results and disaster of a week for Tottenham, Pochettino insists that he is not worried about his job in North London.

He said (Football London): “No I am not worried, what worries me is life, not football. I don’t want you to take it the wrong way, what scares me is life, not football. Football is a game that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The problem for us it was win, win, win and it was praise for everyone. Now in the last two games it was a tough situation to accept. But I don’t want to be a philosopher or talk in a way that is not good.

“What scares me is life, not football. Football is to be strong and be brave and take decisions and to show your face when things are not good. That is what we are going to do, face the negative things and try to work hard to change this dynamic.”
