Pochettino on Spurs’ Premier league eleven-match winless streak away from home

It would be fair to say that Tottenham Hotspur are experiencing a difficult time on the road having failed to secure a win in 11 Premier League away games (D2, L9).

Ironically, their last win at a current Premier League club was December’s 6-2 thrashing of Everton, who will be tomorrow’s opponents.

Spurs have found themselves in a winning position away from home on more than occasion this season notably at Arsenal and Liverpool but have failed to secure the victory.

Tomorrow they are up against the Toffees who have lost five of their past six top-flight matches, however Spurs need to be aware that Marco Silva’s side have won seven of their last nine Premier League home games, and have kept clean sheets in seven of 10.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that his players need to be stronger and believes that they will soon turn around their poor run of form.

Pochettino was asked in an interview with the club’s official site whether the away record its a case of key moments going against his team, or is there more to it.

He said: “The small details make the difference and we need to be stronger. It’s true when a negative result arrives it’s always tough. We are there, we need time and we are going to find a way to (get) success again.”
