Pochettino on whether Trippier and Winks can play against Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur take on Southampton this weekend, and should be high in spirits after their Champions League quarter final qualification on Tuesday night.

Spurs should also be with Dele Alli once again, as the England midfielder has been in first team training for the last week or so.

However, they may have to do without their manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as he has been handed a two game touchline ban for misconduct.

This came after the Argentine stormed onto the Turf Moor pitch last month and confronted referee Mike Dean with a decent level of aggression.

It remains to be seen whether he will appeal the ban or not.

Tottenham look to also be without Kieran Trippier this weekend, after the full back also missed the trip to Dortmund.

He is said to be suffering from a small problem after a congested fixture list last week.

Despite leaving the pitch injured on Tuesday night, Harry Winks may be available, with Pochettino saying they would assess him tomorrow.

Poch said (Football London): “I think Trips, no (for Southampton). He suffered a small problem and I think he will be out. Harry [Winks] we’ll assess tomorrow.”
