Pochettino orders defender signing says report

Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that both Tottenham and Inter Milan have made strong efforts to sign Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen.

The Denmark international defender could prove to be the perfect replacement for Toby Alderweireld, should he leave at the end of the season.

Manchester United have also reportedly sent scouts to watch him, but have not made as much effort to sign as the other two interested parties.

What is more interesting is the fact that the Italian news outlet report the orders have come straight from Pochettino himself (Relayed by SportWitness).

In many cases the scouting team may recommend a young player for management to look at, but Pochettino seems to be a big fan of the 22-year-old.

The Sun also claimed last week that Spurs were keen on signing the player in the next transfer window.

Could Andersen be the solution to Tottenham’s defender troubles next season?
