Pochettino proves he is magic with new stadium prediction

This time two weeks ago, Tottenham were really struggling with their Premier League form, with just one point in five games domestically.

With surprise losses to Burnley and Southampton, as well as Chelsea, Liverpool, and dropped points at home to Arsenal, Tottenham had dropped 14 points in a short space of time.

Despite being comfortable in third position, the chasing pack had gained on them fast, and Spurs found themselves in a four way fight for just two Champions League spots for next season.

Spurs still find themselves in that fight, but their form has picked up dramatically, with wins over Crystal Palace, Man City, and Huddersfield in the new stadium.

In fact, Tottenham haven’t lost a single point, or conceded a single goal since moving to the new ground, and it has definitely provided them with the desired boost.

Pochettino has now revealed that this is exactly why he urged Levy to make it happen this season, rather than waiting for next campaign.

He said (Sky Sports – quoted by HITC): “When you imagine the team playing here with more than 60,000 people, I said to Daniel, ‘No doubt. If it is ready, we need to move as soon as possible, because it is going to be a massive boost for us because I knew how this stadium was’.”
