Pochettino reveals his man of the match from Man City vs Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur faced Manchester City for the third time in ten days this afternoon, but Pep Guardiola’s got their revenge in the Etihad sun today.

Spurs knocked Man City out of the Champions League on Wednesday night on away goals, after the two sides played out one of the most thrilling encounters the competition has ever seen.

Today’s Saturday afternoon affair came with a little less zip than mid-week, but it was a good overall performance from Spurs.

Unfortunately, Tottenham went behind after four minutes for the second time in a row against the Blues, and they were never able to recover from that early blow.

The Lilywhites carved chance after chance through Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura, but neither could squeeze any of their shots past the in-form Ederson.

Pochettino claimed that the Man City goalkeeper was his man of the match after pulling off numerous fantastic stops.

He said (Football London): “I feel the performance today was very good and at the least we deserved a draw. I think the man of the match was their goalkeeper Ederson. I think we competed really well in the circumstance and I am happy.”
