Pochettino reveals huge injury boost ahead of Ajax semi-final

Tottenham Hotspur may have lost 1-0 to Bournemouth earlier today, but they will have to put that performance behind them as they look ahead to Ajax on Wednesday.

Spurs face a trip away to the Dutch side in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, after having lost the home leg 1-0.

Tottenham must score at least one away goal if they are to stand any chance of progressing to the final of the competition.

Spurs will have Heung Min Son back in the starting line up, as he returns from suspension, while his red card today against Bournemouth will not affect European games.

Moussa Sissoko will also likely return to the starting line up after putting in a superb performance from the bench in the first leg.

It was touch and go whether Jan Vertonghen would recover from a horrific head injury in the first leg, but Pochettino has now revealed that he will likely feature after training yesterday.

Poch said (Football London): “We’ll see, we hope yes. He was training well yesterday, I think he can be available.”
