Pochettino reveals Spurs may jet off to training camp in March

Tottenham Hotspur have battled through some congested fixture periods this season, and still find themselves near the top of the table.

In fact, Spurs are now in a three horse race for the title, just five points off both Man City and Liverpool.

This gap could come down to just the two points come the end of the weekend, with Spurs visiting Burnley, Liverpool away to Man United, and City not in action.

Spurs played 17 games across December and January alone this season, but come into the Burnley match off the back of a ten-day rest period.

And there is more where that came from for the Lilywhites, after their Premier League match against Crystal Palace was rescheduled due to FA Cup fixtures.

Spurs will now enjoy a 22 day rest period from March 9 to March 31, and Pochettino has revealed that he is looking at taking the squad away somewhere for training and to create a good atmosphere ahead of the title run in.

Poch said (Football London): “Yes, we’re trying to find some place to go. We’ll see. Still nothing done. But yes, in our mind it’s try to spend time together with the team, to create a good atmosphere in between the players, to be in a different place because it’s going to be a long period without competition.”
