Pochettino reveals the four injured stars that could return this weekend

Tottenham Hotspur have been struggling with injuries of late and will be hoping to get as many back as possible during the busy holiday period.

The games come thick and fast around Christmas, with Premier League clubs usually having one every three or four days.

Having a full squad that you are comfortable rotating as a manager is key to negotiating this festive season, and Spurs are usually rather good at that under Pochettino.

Young right back Kyle Walker-Peters was thrown in at the deep end against Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Injuries to Serge Aurier and Kieran Trippier meant the academy graduate was Tottenham’s only player in this position.

Unfortunately he made a big mistake leading to the Barca goal, but he recovered well and put in a good shift.

KWP may have to start again against Burnley this weekend, but four Spurs players could be set for a return.

Pochettino revealed that Trippier, Aurier, Foyth, and Sanchez all have a chance of making the Premier League game, although I wouldn’t expect them to start.

Poch said (Football London): “We need to assess tomorrow a few players. We’ll see. I can’t say if they will be available or not.”

When asked if some could make the Burnley game, he said: “Yes, some players.”

One journalist asked, ‘Trippier?’, to which Poch replied: “Yes, maybe, yes.

“We’ll see with Juan, Davinson. These three I think. Aurier, I missed Aurier.”

Pochettino’s comments did spark come confusion after the club’s Twitter account had earlier provided injury updates on the players indicating they were not ready to play on Saturday.
