Pochettino reveals time scale on Moussa Sissoko injury – and it isn’t good

Tottenham Hotspur achieved great things in their Champions League quarter final against Manchester City, qualifying for their first ever semi final in the competition, but it did come at a cost.

In the first leg, Harry Kane sustained yet another ankle ligament injury, likely keeping him out for the rest of the season.

Dele Alli was also forced off in the same game after breaking his hand in two places, and Harry Winks later suffered a training ground injury after the shift he put in.

Now, Moussa Sissoko is the latest to join the casualties, after he was forced off before half time in the away leg on Wednesday.

The Frenchman attempted to play on through the pain, but after hitting the deck for the third time, had to make way for Fernando Llorente.

Sissoko has arguably been Tottenham’s best player this season, so the injury has been a huge blow for the squad.

Pochettino has now revealed that Sissoko could be out for two weeks, and may miss the first leg against Ajax.

Poch said (Football London): “Moussa Sissoko is not going to be fit, maybe for the next two weeks, we hope he can recover before but I am not so optimistic.”
