Pochettino reveals two first team stars may return from injury to face Brighton

Tottenham’s revolving injury door is well and truly swinging again, with new players returning from injury, as well as first teamers picking up knocks each and every game.

Harry Kane was recently ruled out long term with an ankle ligament injury, Dele Alli broke his hand in two places, Harry Winks picked up a training ground injury, Hugo Lloris missed the Man City match at the weekend, and Moussa Sissoko was forced off in the last Champions League tie.

Eric Dier made his first team return against City on Saturday, and Mauricio Pochettino has now revealed that he hopes two other stars will follow in his footsteps.

Poch claims that Hugo Lloris will be assessed ahead of the home match against Brighton, but hopes are that he will be fit enough to start.

He also added that Harry Winks is very up and down with his injury at the moment, but there is a chance he could play on Tuesday.

Poch said on Lloris (Football London): “I hope yes, we are going to assess, we have a training session and we hope it is not a big issue, we hope he is going to be available.”

And on Winks: “Harry Winks we don’t now because it is a problem that is one day very good, next day not very good, it is about assessing each day. We hope he will be available for Tuesday but we are not sure.”
