Pochettino reveals what was missing from Spurs performance

Tottenham Hotspur fell to yet another Premier League defeat last night, making it back to back losses in the competition.

After losing 2-1 away to Burnley, Spurs fans would have been hoping for a reaction from their players, but they were met with another lacklustre performance.

This leaves Tottenham just four points above Arsenal in the table, the team currently below Spurs in fourth.

There was only one shot on target in the match against Chelsea, which seems rather strange in a 2-0 home win.

Pedro registered the only real shot at goal in the second half, as it squeezed through Lloris’ legs. The second goal came from a horrific Trippier own goal.

It was the first time ever that Pochettino’s side has failed to register a single shot on goal in an entire ninety minutes, which tells you all you need to know about their attacking flare in the match.

Pochettino revealed what was missing from his side (Football London): “Points. Shots. We didn’t shoot, and we were not consistent enough. It was an even game, but we didn’t create too much, but them also. They only had one shot on target. The other shot on target was the own goal. I think it wasn’t a great game. I was disappointed because it was another defeat, but we need to be sure we are ready for Saturday, and another tough London derby against Arsenal. It’s going to be tough.”
