Pochettino reveals whether Eric Dier will start on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur are in the midst of somewhat of an injury crisis, particularly in two positions within their squad.

Up front, Spurs are without the injured Kane and Moura, as well as the unavailable Heung Min Son, and outcaste Vincent Janssen.

In central midfield, Spurs also have injuries to Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko, and Luke Amos, as well as the recent departure of Mousa Dembele.

Up until recently, Eric Dier has also been out injured after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix, but the England man is now back in the squad.

However, when asked whether Dier was fit enough to start, Pochettino was adamant that he would be on the bench at best.

This means poor Harry Winks will have to hold down the fort against Fulham, a player who has been subjected to a whole lot of minutes so far this season.

Spurs must be careful not to pick up yet another injury by burning him out, and may have to use young Oliver Skipp to ease the burden.

Poch said this on Dier (Football London): “No, maybe he is going to be on the bench, but he still needs to recover his fitness.”
