It is fair to say that Kieran Trippier has not enjoyed his best season in a Spurs shirt this year, with inconsistent performances and errors in defence.
It seems a shame after the full back had such a stellar time at the Russia World Cup last summer, and played a huge part in England’s run to the semi-finals.
However, perhaps fatigue and niggling injuries have hampered the right back this season, as he has been unable to show any kind of form up to the levels we have come to expect.
Spurs fans will be hoping that he can turn things around for next season, and avoid mistakes such as his horror own goal against Chelsea.
Spurs take on Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night in the Champions League, but Trippier is not involved in the match day squad.
Pochettino has revealed that Tripps is suffering with a small problem after back to back games and needed some time to recover.
He said (Football London): “Kieran Trippier is at home because after two games he was so tired and with some small problem. He stayed there.”
