Pochettino says how he will reward his players after Dortmund clash

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed exactly how he plans to reward his players after the Dortmund game, win or lose.

Spurs take on Dortmund at Wembley tomorrow night, as they bid to take an advantage into the Champions League round of 16 second leg.

The reverse fixture is due to be played in Germany in early March.

Spurs have had an extremely hectic schedule over the past few months, with fixtures in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

With the fixture list finally starting to thin a little as we edge towards the back end of the season, Pochettino says he will reward his players with a well-earned rest.

The Argentine manager says the players will receive a few days off to relax and spend time with families, due to the ‘crazy’ fixture list.

Perhaps this is exactly what Spurs need as they look to fight it out for the Prem title.

Poch said (Football London): “Yes, of course, we are going to be first to have a few days to rest and to recover. But of course I am going to reward the players, whatever happens tomorrow, they deserve to be rewarded with some days off, to spend time with the family and of course to breathe a little bit and enjoy a little bit because the schedule of the fixtures for us was crazy up to today.”
