Pochettino shares his thoughts about the Emiliano Sala tragedy

The news about the disappearance of Emiliano Sala’s plane has been dominating the headlines around the world.

The 28-year-old Argentine was signed by Cardiff City for a club record transfer fee from French club FC Nantes.

However, the aircraft which the forward had boarded has been lost over the English Channel and has not been found as of yet. The player is said to have sent a distress message over WhatsApp to his friends and family in which he is claimed to have said that his plane “feels like it’s falling to pieces”.

The football world has been left shocked by the news and people are still hoping that the people player and pilot are somehow found.

Pochettino was asked about the tragic news regarding his fellow countryman and the Tottenham manager said that events like these put other problems in perspective.

Speaking as a part of the pre-match press conference ahead of Spurs’ game against Chelsea, Pochettino told Football.London:”I know him (Sala) but I never met him. I am very shocked when you receive news like this, sometimes we create a lot of problems for small things but that situation what happened makes you realise that life can change the situation very quickly.”

“I want to send all my love and positive energy for his family that is from Argentina, from Santa Fe, and of course all Nantes, the club, the family from France and of course Cardiff. All my wish and hope is to wait for some good news.”
