Tottenham fans would have been sick of the Pochettino to Real Madrid links back in the summer, but after the Argentine signed a new five year deal, the rumours eventually died down.
However, they were back in a strange fashion this week, as Pochettino was seen leaving the same restaurant as Zinedine Zidane, the very manager he was rumoured to be replacing in the summer.
Zidane left Real Madrid after the end of last season, leaving them scrambling for a new gaffer before the next campaign.
Fortunately for Spurs, Real were unable to tempt Pochettino away from his position in North London.
The Spurs manager was out for a meal at a swanky London restaurant this week with assistant Jesus Perez and one other, when they bumped into Zidane and none other than David Beckham.
Zidane went over to say hello, but beyond that, he and Pochettino did not dine together.
Poch said (Football London): “Yes it was very nice. I was with Jesus and another person. We were three and that is all the history. Only we say hello because we met by coincidence.
“Yes, but it was Jesus who told me look in the corner and I turned and it was these two people. We finished at the same time, he came to say hello and we spent two minutes talking and we split and went home.”
