Pochettino to reignite interest in star striker

Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying a fantastic season in the face of adversity, as their stadium remains incomplete and they continue to play every game away from home.

Spurs have actually recorded their best ever start to a league season, taking 24 points from 11 games, and are currently sitting in the Champions League spots.

After Harry Kane’s heroics on Tuesday night against PSV, Tottenham are also still fighting on four fronts for silverware this season.

However, Pochettino may look to relieve some pressure on his star striker come January, as he has been linked with reigniting interest in an old target.

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Sebastien Haller is in the form of his life this season, scoring seven goals in eight starts for the high flying Eagles.

As a result of this scintillating form, Haller has been linked with the likes of Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, and Tottenham by The Frankfurter Allgemeine.

Haller is valued at around £26m, and has been compared to Olivier Giroud in style of play.

According to the Telegraph, Pochettino wanted to sign the player back in 2016, but could make a move in January to give Harry Kane some back up for the remainder of the season.
