Pochettino talks up Kane’s career away from Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have done extremely well to keep hold of their best players in recent years, despite a lack of trophies and investment.

Spurs undoubtedly have one of the best, if not the very best centre forward in world football leading their line, but currently rely on loyalty to keep him there.

Harry Kane came through the Spurs academy, and you can tell he is desperate to win something with the Lilywhites.

However, he has always said that he will only stay at the club while he believes it is moving in the right direction, which seems fair enough.

Mauricio Pochettino has stated in his press conference today that he believes Kane can move on from Tottenham when he retires to sign for an NFL team, or play any sport he wants for that matter.

He listed American football, golf, and tennis as possible avenues for the England captain to explore, just as long as he leaves it until after football, right Poch?

Pochettino said (Football London): “Yes, it was an example like (Jesus) Angoy who was a keeper in Barcelona who played for Barcelona Dragons when he finished his career. We were playing in Montjuic with Espanyol and they used to play there. Yes, why not. Maybe when he finished his career if someone wants him for sure he is going to be good. If Harry wants to kick with the NFL he will be a kicker, or if he wants to play tennis, or play golf he is going to be good because he is so strong in his mind and can do whatever he wants.”
