Pochettino wishes he could play at the new Spurs stadium

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be counting down the days until they can finally move into their new stadium.

The only problem is that no one has any idea when that will be.

Spurs were originally supposed to move in by September 15 to play Liverpool, then before the end of 2018, but the stadium will now be unfinished until some time in 2019.

However, the latest pictures and videos of the state of the art 62,062 seater ground are astonishing.

The seats are all in place, the goal posts are in, the pitch and markings have been laid, even the iconic golden cockerel now sits atop the stadium roof.

Spurs are currently flying high in the Premier League, recording their best ever start to a season.

They are also still fighting on four fronts for silverware this campaign, as they cling onto the Champions League by their fingertips.

Pochettino talked to the media about his recent trip to see the new stadium.

FootballLondon report Poch said: “I think you use the word stunning, we were stunned. You expect that you are going to find a good, nice stadium but when I saw the stadium it is like ‘Wow’.

“Your face, it is difficult to talk because it is a beautiful, amazing…I think will be an amazing place to enjoy football for our players and fans. I am a little bit jealous of our players because to play and be in a changing room like this or be in a place like this it is amazing, massive.

“I would like to be 20 and be a player that Tottenham offer a contract to play because it will be amazing. Again I say to our fans patience because it is going to be the best stadium in Europe.”
