Pochettino’s funny press conference answer that involves him kicking Paul Merson

The Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal rivalry is one that gets passed down through generations and is still one of the biggest derbies in English, if not world, football.

The first North London Derby of the season is set to take place this Sunday at the Emirates, with both clubs desperate to take early bragging rights after just four games.

It will be personal for Arsenal after Spurs pipped them to the last Champions League spot last season, while Tottenham will want to finish above the Gunners for the fourth year in a row.

However, Spurs have had a tough start to the season this year, with below-par performances against Aston Villa, Man City, and Newcastle.

Spurs have picked up just four points from the three games and Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, believes that the Gunners will thrash their rivals this weekend.

After being asked which former Arsenal player he would have liked to play with or coach, Pochettino instead told the press which he would want to play against.

He said (Football London): “Maybe play against? Yes, I want to play against Paul Merson, to kick him. I kick with all my love.”
