“We’re looking for six points”

Sebastien Bassong has set a target of six points for Tottenham over the Christmas period.

Spurs travel to Aston Villa on Boxing Day and welcome Newcastle to White Hart Lane on December 28.

With Michael Dawson and William Gallas both fit again, it remains to be seen if Bassong will take his place in the Spurs starting line-up.

“We know it’s a tough period but we’re used to it,” Bassong told the official site. “We’re looking for six points from those two games because that’s what we need.

“It’s not easy to play two games in two days but it’s the same for everyone and we’ll do our best.

“If we stay fit and focused and continue to believe in what we are doing then I think we will be alright.”
