Reports are linking Portsmouth with a January swoop for Mexican forward, Giovani Dos Santos.

Dos Santos has found first team football hard to come by at White Hart Lane, with his spell being disrupted by injuries.

But Avram grant has identified the 20 year-old as a player who could help Portsmouth in their fight against relegation.

It is unclear whether Redknapp will allow Giovani to leave on a permanent basis, but it is possible for a loan agreement to be reached in January, especially with Jamie O’Hara expected to be recalled to Spurs when 2010 arrives.

Dos Santos was wanted by the Portsmouth hierachy in the summer, but did not have the funds to land the former Barcelona youngster.

However, with Ali Al-Faraj having taken control of the south coast club and pledging money to the club, a deal could be brokered in the winter transfer window.
