Portugal international Andre Gomes will reportedly strike a blow to Arsenal’s hopes of luring him to London – by signing for Tottenham.

The 24-year-old Barcelona midfielder is set to exit the Nou Camp this summer after failing to hold down a place in the first team since his move from Valencia two years ago.

And now according to Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Gomes is keen on a move to Tottenham.

Italian champions Juventus were also  reportedly to been interested however they may be reluctant to spend more money following the £100million they’ve spent luring Gomes’ Portugal team-mate Crisitiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid

Gomes is expected to cost around £18m and is reportedly keen to work with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

We were heavily linked with him in January and it has resurfaced again. With uncertainty over Mousa Dembele, would you be happy with Gomes to replace the Belgian? Let us know your thoughts…
