Tottenham’s pre-season tour

Tottenham Hotspur are set to kick off their pre-season tour of Asia with a game against Vissel Kobe in Japan on Saturday, before flying to South Korea to play Team K-League and Bayern Munich.

It has been a positive summer for the Lilywhites so far, with wins over Cambridge United, Hearts, and QPR, including a number of fine performances from academy starlets like Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore.

Tottenham fans will be hoping to see more from new signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall against Vissel Kobe, with both teenagers having impressed in their previous two cameos.

Destiny Udogie and Richarlison still out injured

Ange Postecoglou reveals that both Destiny Udogie and Richarlison will miss the match against Vissel Kobe because they “aren’t quite ready to play” (Football London).

The very fact that Postecoglou included both players in his pre-season tour implies they are not far from a Tottenham return though.

The Spurs boss did deliver some good news, revealing that Ben Davies has returned to training, so the Welshman could feature against Vissel Kobe on Saturday.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Touch wood, Spurs seem to be in a very good place with injuries heading into the new season.

Udogie and Richarlison should be back in the coming weeks, and that would leave Postecoglou with a fully fit squad, apart from long-term absentee Fraser Forster.
