‘Potential opportunities’ – Fabrizio Romano provides update on Spurs and AC Milan talks

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Fabio Paratici has begun negotiations with AC Milan regarding Japhet Tanganga and the Spurs managing director of football is also exploring ‘other opportunities’.

It emerged earlier this week that Paratici had flown to Italy to negotiate several deals, including the sales of Tanganga and Bryan Gil, while also potentially exploring the availability of Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo (Daniele Longo).

Several outlets including talkSPORT had previously reported that Spurs were looking to move on Tanganga and Joe Rodon, then sign another central defender before the transfer window closes.

CalcioMercato.it revealed earlier this week that the North London club value Tanganga at €30m (£24.5m) but Milan will try to negotiate down the price.

Romano has now taken to social media to state that negotiations between Spurs and Milan for the 23-year-old are now underway.

The journalist suggested that Tanganga might not be the only player that the two clubs discuss, with Paratici said to be exploring other market opportunities over the coming weeks.

It is unclear from Romano’s tweet if he means that Paratici will explore other opportunities with Milan or that the Spurs managing director is looking at various options in the Italian market.

The speculation linking Zaniolo to Spurs has intensified over recent days, and it does appear as if the Roma star is one of the players that the Lilywhites have their eye on.
