Some Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to Harry Kane’s latest statement on the reports surrounding his return to training at Hotspur Way.
This evening, Harry Kane broke his silence on the situation involving his apparent expected return to training earlier this week.
On Monday, it was widely reported that, even though Kane has been expected to return, he had chosen not to turn up for training in North London.
The Times even stated that Nuno Espirito Santo’s pre-season plans had been disrupted by the lack of an expected Harry Kane, who has been linked with a move to Man City for much of this summer.
However, the striker has now claimed he never refused to train and never will, adding that some of the comments and suggestions otherwise have hurt him. The England captain also revealed that he will be back at Hotspur Way tomorrow.
Let’s take a look at how some Spurs fans reacted:
PR team already in damage control mode lol

Well that’s just a complete lie

Difference between refusing and not being able to? Im not even a Spurs fan and understand that

Hm… don’t blame us. You are the one that missed your first day at work without explanation and then took a week to explain what happened.
Glad to hear (if true) that it is all “a misunderstanding” but fans reacted to the facts, and the information at hand.

Those who you should blame for this mess @HKane:
– SkySports – Reporting that you missed training. Will you be seeking legal action against them if that's NOT true?
– Your advisors – WTF have they been doing this week?
– Yourself – For not addressing this sooner via Twitter.

Post that you are staying and I will stop questioning your professionalism and loyalty.

I LOVE YOU KANE, YOU ARE THE TOTTENHAM LEGEND🤍💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍

Why would he wish us well in friendlies, I’m sure he might of said something privately doesn’t need to say good luck on social media for friendlies

You said it yourself, we have shown you nothing but support and love for a decade. The Spurs faithful & the children of those supporters idolise you like a God & you could have allayed fears or quashed rumours with a statement on Mon – 5 days later does little to settle nerves.

Spurs Web Opinion:
I knew the vast majority of Spurs fans would not respond well to this. Really, Kane needed to address the rumours on Monday straight away, rather than letting it spiral beyond his control.
