Predicted Spurs XI to take on Cardiff

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to put that shock defeat to Wolves firmly behind them on New Years Day.

Spurs enjoyed a 6-2 thrashing of Everton, and a 5-0 demolition of Bournemouth over the Christmas period, and will want to rediscover some of this cut-throat form in 2019.

Pochettino’s men are currently nine points behind the leaders Liverpool, and if they are not careful, they will have to start looking over their shoulder rather than ahead.

Despite the squad suffering from some fatigue at the weekend, Pochettino will have few options in terms of rotation.

The likes of Wanyama, Dier, and Dembele are still out injured, leaving a choice of three central midfielders.

We believe Skipp may come in for the tired Harry Winks, partnering Sissoko in the middle of the park.

Danny Rose comes into the side in place of Ben Davies at the back, with Jan Vertonghen not quite fit enough for his own return.

Kane, Alli, Eriksen, and Son continue to lead the line for Tottenham.
