Tottenham Hotspur are back in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest, just days after their victory at the Deutsche Bank Park Stadium. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI to face Forest on Monday.
Ange Postecoglou would be hoping to build on his side’s Europa League quarter-final win against Eintracht Frankfurt when Nottingham Forest come visiting the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are 15th in the Premier League table, and while the club are in a European semi-final, fans would love to see an improvement in their league performances.
Of course, with just six games left, 18 points up for grabs and the club firmly in the bottom half of the league standings, the feeling around Spurs is that the league has slipped away.
But with pride and momentum still to play for, winning games is just as important. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI to take on the Tricky Trees.

Predicted Tottenham XI to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League
Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario: Vicario made up for the blunders against Wolves with a far more assured display against Frankfurt. No reason to expect a change between the sticks this week; he should keep his place.
Right-back – Pedro Porro: Gray came in against Wolves but was dropped for the Frankfurt tie. With no Europa League fixture this midweek, Porro looks likely to retain his spot at right-back.
Centre-back – Ben Davies: Micky van de Ven’s role for the run-in appears clear – he’s being saved for the big ones. Expect Davies to step in again and give the Dutchman a breather on Monday.
Centre-back – Cristian Romero: Romero was outstanding against Frankfurt and fully deserving of his man of the match honours. He keeps his place.
Left-back – Djed Spence: Postecoglou’s recent selections suggest Udogie is now the Europa League left-back, while Spence handles Premier League duties. That should continue against Forest.
Pivot midfielder – Yves Bissouma: Bissouma is one of the few with a point to prove heading into the final stretch. If he’s to stake a claim for next season, performances must improve; he should return to the XI here.
Central midfielder – Pape Matar Sarr: Sarr’s form has dipped, no doubt, but Postecoglou may opt to freshen things up centrally. That could see the Senegalese midfielder come back in.
Central midfielder – Dejan Kulusevski: James Maddison took a knock to the hip against Frankfurt and remains a doubt for Monday. While the injury isn’t serious, the turnaround might come too soon – which is why Kulusevski makes our predicted Tottenham XI.
Left midfielder – Mathys Tel: Tel impressed midweek and, with Son still managing a foot issue, the Frenchman could be trusted again out wide.
Striker – Richarlison: Solanke finally found the net but played the full 90 in Germany. He’s due a rest, and with Richarlison now fit, the Brazilian could lead the line.
Right midfielder – Wilson Odobert: Odobert’s minutes have been limited of late, but with Brennan Johnson playing in the last four games, it is unlikely he will feature again. Odobert could return to the starting XI on Monday.
