Predicted Tottenham XI to start against Brentford on Boxing Day – No Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action on Boxing Day as they face a trip to Brentford, their first match since the end of the World Cup in Qatar.

Due to the mid-season tournament, Antonio Conte has some strange issues to contend with, including injuries, fatigue, and senior players not yet being back in training.

Fraser Forster is set to start between the sticks for the Lilywhites, with Hugo Lloris only just returning to training this week. Across the back three, we expect to see Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier, and Davinson Sanchez, with Cristian Romero still not back in London.

The wing-backs are the hardest to predict, with a number of them not quite fit to start. Ivan Perisic just got back from the World Cup, Sessegnon is returning from injury, and Djed Spence had a bug this week, so it seems logical that Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal will start.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Yves Bissouma line up in midfield, with Rodrigo Bentancur banned, while the deadly trio of Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, and Dejan Kulusevski return up front.
