Predicted Tottenham XI to take on Chelsea – Postecoglou makes four changes

Tottenham Hotspur face a trip to Stamford Bridge this week in the Premier League as they look to finish their first season under Ange Postecoglou with a flourish.

We believe that Guglielmo Vicario will start between the sticks, continuing his fine debut season for the Lilywhites. While Postecoglou may be tempted to move Micky Van de Ven out to left-back in the absence of the injured Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie, it’s Emerson Royal who gets the nod.

Van de Ven partners Cristian Romero in the centre of defence, with Pedro Porro lining up on the right of the back four as he did against Arsenal at the weekend.

In midfield, Postecoglou rings the changes. Yves Bissouma returns to the pivot role in place of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, while Pape Matar Sarr replaces Rodrigo Bentancur in the line-up.

James Maddison is perhaps lucky to start ahead of Dejan Kulusevski in the number 10 role, with the Swede instead operating off the right, keeping Brennan Johnson on the bench.

With Timo Werner out for the season, Heung-min Son moves out wide left and Richarlison returns to start in the number nine position against Chelsea.
