Premier League announce when summer transfer window will open for Spurs

The Premier League has revealed the dates for its summer and winter transfer windows for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

With just one round of fixtures remaining in the current campaign, many clubs will have one eye on the impending transfer window.

At the top of the table, the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United will be keen to make up ground on champions Manchester City next year.

Clubs such as Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, and Brentford will hope to add to their squad and continue the fine work they have done this term in achieving strong finishes.

While at the other end of the table, teams narrowly avoiding relegation will be desperate to bolster their ranks and ensure they are not embroiled in a battle against the drop next time around.

Tottenham Hotspur have a challenging summer ahead. After a miserable campaign which looks set to leave Spurs without European football next season, a big rebuild is needed for the North London side.

The Premier League has now revealed when work can begin on buying and selling players for the forthcoming season.

The summer transfer window will open on Wednesday, June 14th and run through to Friday, September 1st at 11 pm.

Later in the campaign, the winter transfer window will open on Monday, January 1st and stay open until Thursday, February 1st at 11 pm.

This is a slight change to what we have seen before, which the Premier League said is to “ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe.”

The closing dates will now align with those in the Football League, in Germany, Italy, Spain, and France.

Spurs Web Opinion

It’s good that the league has adapted slightly to instil some consistency across the top leagues in Europe.

Hopefully, Spurs can get a nice early start to proceedings and bring in some quality so we’re not having panic transfers later on.
