Premier League boss distances himself from potentially taking over at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of forcing their way back into the top four and a return to the Champions League took an almost fatal blow at Goodison Park.

The 2-2 draw against Everton has left Jose Mourinho’s side five points behind West Ham United in fourth place, with Chelsea and Liverpool both having a game in hand over the North Londoners.

The failure to win has cast even more doubt on Jose Mourinho’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Football.London claiming that there is a growing belief within the club that the Portuguese will not be in charge next season.

The Daily Express claimed earlier this week that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a fan of Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno has led Wolves to two seventh-place finishes in the Premier League as well as the Europa League quarter-final.

The manager has distanced himself from the speculation about potentially taking over from Mourinho, insisting that he has a contract at Molineux.

He told Sky Sports: “There is nothing to talk about. I have a contract.”
