Premier League boss insists rumoured Spurs target is happy at the club

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has insisted that Adama Traore is happy at the club.

The 23-year-old impressed during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 win at Molineux last weekend with Traore netting a stunning equaliser for the home side in the second half.

Football Insider claimed that senior Spurs players were so impressed with the winger’s display that they made it clear to Jose Mourinho after the match had ended.

Traore’s pace caused Tottenham a number of problems down the right side of the pitch with Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Eric Dier all receiving yellow cards for challenges on the former Barcelona academy product.

He has established himself as a key member of Santo’s squad this season having scored four goals and provided six assists for Wolves in 26 appearances across all competitions (transfermarkt).

“He has a contract with the club and he’s happy here,” Santo told The Mirror.

“He puts a lot of energy, dedication, into things and wants to improve. Things that happen outside, we cannot control.”

Santo also revealed that Traore suffered a dislocated his shoulder towards the end of the match against Mourinho’s side but is available to face Norwich.

“He dislocated it but fortunately was able to put it back in,” he added.

“He has the pain that trauma caused him but he’s improving. He’s in the squad, so we decide after.”
