Premier League club confirm the signing of Danny Rose

Danny Rose has completed a move to Premier League newcomers Watford as a free agent.

Rose was released by Spurs at the end of last season when his contract came to an end following fourteen years at the North London club.

The England international joined Spurs from Leeds as a teenager in 2007 and went on to make 214 appearances (transfermarkt).

The 30-year-old left-back will officially join the Hornets on July 1st and has penned a two-year contract at Vicarage Road.

Rose spent time on loan at Watford earlier in his career having made seven appearances towards the end of the 2008/09 campaign.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United but a permanent move failed to materialise despite Magpies boss Steve Bruce admitting that he wanted to take him to St James’ (Chronicle Live).

The defender will not have to wait long for a return to North London, with Watford set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the third Premier League match of the season.
