Premier League confirm officials who will take charge of Arsenal v Spurs derby

The Premier League have confirmed the match day officials ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, including the north London derby.

Tottenham make the short trip to the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime looking to maintain their unbeaten start in the top flight this season while also aiming to knock their bitter rivals off top spot.

Arsenal currently lead Tottenham by a single point heading into the match, which is always a hotly contested affair between the two sides.

The Premier League have revealed that Anthony Taylor has been handed the referee’s whistle and will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Lee Betts, while Robert Jones will take up the responsibilities of the fourth official.

VAR duties at Stockley Park are headed up by Jarred Gillett and assistance is provided by Timothy Wood.

This will not be the first time in which Taylor has officiated Tottenham this season having also taken charge of the recent fixture against Chelsea.

The match attracted headlines after Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte clashed on the sidelines on two separate occasions, with Spurs grabbing a late 2-2 draw.
