A Premier League club have just beaten Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Rayan Vitor, and their subsequent move reveals just how highly they rate the youngster.
Spurs Web has relayed a number of reports over the past few months stating that Tottenham have been scouting Vasco Da Gama starlet Rayan Vitor.
In fact, it was reported that Spurs even explored getting a work permit for Rayan ahead of a potential move this month after the forward emerged as one of the best young attackers in Brazilian football.
However, Premier League club have beaten the Lilywhites to the signing of the 19-year-old.

Bournemouth protect Rayan with a big release clause after beating Tottenham
It is the Cherries who have secured the services of the teenager for a deal worth £24.7m plus another £5.6m in add-ons (BBC Sport).
It is undoubtedly a major coup for Andoni Iraola’s men after they lost Antoine Semenyo, with Rayan seen as the next potential breakoutstar from Brazil.
It has now been revealed by journalist Ben Jacobs on X that the forward’s contract at Bournemouth has a release clause of €100m (£87m), which will kick in from next season.
Will Spurs come to rue not splashing the cash on Rayan?
Bournemouth have tended to get their recruitment decisions spot-on over the last few years, and all signs suggest that this could turn out to be an inspired signing.
The high release clause means that Tottenham will find it very difficult to swoop for Rayan if he impresses at the Vitality Stadium.
This might be a deal that Spurs may rue not acting on, as was the case with Alex Scott, who is showing his quality for Iraola’s men this season.
