Premier League squad deadline – Journalist expects one Spurs player to be snubbed

Tottenham Hotspur are required to submit their final Premier League squad for the first half of the 2020/21 season this afternoon, with the deadline coming at 2 pm.

Journalist, Dan Kilpatrick has now revealed that he expects Danny Rose to be snubbed from the squad, just as he was in the Europa League squad earlier this month.

Paulo Gazzaniga, who has seemingly been ousted as the second-choice keeper at Spurs by Joe Hart, and Gedson Fernandes, on loan from Benfica, also missed out.

However, Kilpatrick claims that both the Argentine shot-stopper and Portuguese midfielder should make the Premier League squad.

This comes as the likes of Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, and Matt Doherty, who are not counted as homegrown in Europa, are counted as such in the Premier League rules.

Therefore, it seems as though Danny Rose could be the only major omission from the Tottenham squad, with the left-back having under a year left on his contract.
