Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham recently, has played down the speculation over his future, insisting that he is enjoying his football at Selhurst Park.
Eberechi Eze has gone from strength to strength since his move from QPR to Crystal Palace three years ago, and the attacking midfielder has taken his game to new heights this season, having scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 37 Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt).
The attacking midfielder’s performances have reportedly caught the attention of several big clubs, including Spurs, with Fichajes reporting last week that the North London club are considering a move for the 24-year-old.
The publication stated that the Palace star is only valued at around €30m (£26m), which makes him an attractive option for Spurs, who are looking to add a creative midfielder to their squad.
When asked about the speculation over his future, Eze has now said (via The Standard): “I’m not really too bothered about that.
“I’m just focusing on the present. I want to continue enjoying it and contributing to the team as much as I can. I’m improving every game.”
Asked whether he is playing the best football of his career, the midfielder responded: “Yeah probably.
“I feel like I’ve got the freedom to play, to do my thing. I’m just happy to be enjoying my football.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Eze would cost less than James Maddison and there is no doubt that he would add a lot to our squad, given his ability to create chaos in the final third.
I would not be surprised if Tottenham consider making an offer for the Palace star over the coming weeks or months.
