‘Priority’ – Some Spurs fans are desperate for club to snap up 22-year-old amidst recent report

Some Tottenham fans on social media keen for the North Londoners to sign Patson Daka in the summer amid reports that the striker is set to leave RB Salzburg at the end of the season.

Daka was rumoured to be one of the strikers on Tottenham’s radar last summer before the club moved to recruit Carlos Vinicius on a season-long lean deal from Benfica.

The Evening Standard reported at the time that the striker wanted to spend another season at Salzburg and continue his development with the Austrian side before making a big move.

West Ham United were also said to be interested in the 22-year-old during the January transfer window, with the striker being linked with a £25m move to the Hammers.

Daka has been in sensational form for Salzburg again this season, having scored 25 goals in all competitions so far.

Salzburger Nachrichten now claim that the Zambian international is likely to leave Jesse Marsch’s side in the summer and some Tottenham fans on social media have urged Spurs to go all out for his signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that he is 22 years of age, Daka might want to move to a club where he plays every week so that he can continue developing. That would likely rule us out of the running given the firepower we have in the forward areas. The striker might well prefer to join a team like West Ham should he decide to move to the Premier League.
