Prolific youngster set to train with Tottenham after impressing in lower leagues

Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor reports that Ramsgate forward Joshua Ajayi has landed a trial with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ajayi came through the Crystal Palace youth set-up and has been in prolific form this season, having found the back of the net 19 times in 24 appearances so far.

The youngster does not ply his trade at a particularly high level at the moment with Ramsgate being part of the Isthmian League South East Division.

However, his impressive performances have seemingly been enough to catch the attention of clubs higher up the pyramid.

League Two club Stevenage are also thought to have shown interest in the 19-year-old but it seems as though Tottenham who have won the race for the youngster.

Taylor confirmed that Ajayi will start training with the Lilywhites at Hotspur Way next week.
