Paris Saint-Germain have made Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier a ‘priority’ signing this summer, French journalist Romain Molina has claimed.

The Ivory Coast international has just over twelve months to run on his existing contract at Tottenham which he signed in 2017 following his move from the French giants for a fee in the region of £23million (BBC).

Aurier admitted in December that PSG is the club that he has loved the most out of all the teams which he has played for and also revealed that he would never turn down the opportunity to return to the Parc des Princes (The Sun).

PSG sporting director Leonardo is already said to have made contact with Tottenham to discuss a deal for the 28-year-old.

Molina, however, claimed that Mauricio Pochettino, who managed the right-back during his time in charge at Tottenham ‘isn’t the keenest’ about the idea of Aurier returning to the club.

The journalist released a video update looking at what could happen at PSG, and also covered the Aurier update within.

Aurier’s contract situation has to be a concern for the club and they should look to cash in on him this summer rather than risk him losing for free.

He has proven time and time again that he is a defensive liability and the right-back position has to be a priority for Steve Hitchen and the next Spurs boss to address.
