PSG manager admits midfielder linked with Spurs no longer part of his plans

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs said to be interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the current transfer window (Express).

Rabiot’s current contract with PSG runs out at end this season and the midfielder has refused to sign an extension with the club, meaning that if the French giants do not sell him in January, he will go for free in the summer.

The 23-year-old midfielder is also said to be also interesting the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona. PSG manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed ahead of PSG’s game against Guingamp that Rabiot is longer part of his plans.

Goal.com quote Tuchel as saying: “I have to prepare my team for Guingamp and it will be a team without Adrien Rabiot. I respect the club’s decision. And it is a decision of the club.”

Tottenham desperately need to add a central midfielder to their squad owing to their injury crisis and Dembele’s recent departure to China.

Rabiot will certainly be a great replacement for the Belgian and at Pochettino might be the guy to bring the best out of the Frenchman and make him fulfill his undoubted potential.

However, with the likes of Barca sniffing around, Levy will have his work cut out to get a deal for the midfielder over the line.
