Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven has confirmed the signing of highly-rated Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Noni Madueke.
The 16-year-old star decided not to remain at Hotspur Way and PSV has beaten off competition from several English sides including Manchester United to sign the midfielder, who signed a three-year deal on Thursday.
A delighted Madueke told the PSV website, “In my opinion, PSV is the club where I can best develop. PSV is a massive club with a great history and I can not wait to grow to the first team step by step.”
The England youth international,with Nigerian roots, debuted in Tottenham’s U18’s as a fifteen-year-old and was the U16’s captain Last season. He will join up with PSV’s U17 side.
The 16-year-old scored 18 goals in 20 youth team games in 2017-18 and becomes the latest young English prospect to move abroad in search of a clearer pathway to first-team football.
