Pundit believes Barcelona could make a move for one Tottenham player

Danny Murphy has suggested that Barcelona could look to snap up Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Until recently, Manchester United and Bayern Munich were considered the two most likely destinations for Kane if he is to leave Spurs this summer (Telegraph) but things appear to have shifted over the last few days.

ESPN reported on Monday that even though United rate the Tottenham man highly, they are reconsidering whether to make a move for him since they do not want to deal with Daniel Levy.

The report added that the Red Devils also do not want negotiations to drag on until the final few days of the window, which is why they might turn to Dusan Vlahovic or Victor Osimhen instead.

Meanwhile, Bild journalist Christian Falk told CaughtOffside on Tuesday that Bayern had not heard back from Kane’s representatives after reaching out to them last year.

It was added that the Bundesliga giants are thus ‘increasingly doubtful’ over whether the 29-year-old would be open to a move to the Allianz Arena.

Murphy has now suggested that a move to Camp Nou could be on the cards for the Tottenham man.

The pundit said on talkSPORT: “I think Barcelona could be an option (for Kane).

“I do, because Lewandowski’s at the end.”

Given Barca’s financial position, there is no way that they are going to pay over £100m for a 30-year-old, who has one year left on his contract.

Besides, with Kane now in touching distance of Alan Shearer’s record, I cannot see him wanting to leave the Premier League before clinching that record.
