Pundit claims he could see Sergio Ramos joining Spurs this summer

Dean Windass has claimed that Sergio Ramos would be a great fit for a Tottenham back three next season, claiming that he could see him joining the North London club.

Ramos’ name has been synonymous with both Real Madrid and success in general over the past decade but he has now parted ways with the club on a free transfer.

As such, Ramos will be free to talk to and sign for any club he wishes this summer, with Windass believing that Tottenham is a possible destination.

In his career, Ramos has won five La Liga titles, four Champions League trophies, three Super Cups, four Club World Cups, the World Cup, two European Championships, and a whole host of other trophies (Wikipedia).

Spurs certainly need strengthening at the back and haven’t won a piece of silverware themselves in over 13 years.

When asked whether Ramos to Spurs was a possibility, Windass told (FootballFanCast): “He’d be a great fit for a back three [at Spurs]. I know he’s not a young man anymore, but he’s experienced and he’s still got that little bit of pace. I could see that happening.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

No chance! Ramos will almost certainly go to PSG this summer and will be put on some silly wages. There is zero chance that Spurs could afford that kind of signing on fee, the bonuses or the wages involved. He also wouldn’t be a smart signing.
