Chris Sutton has claimed that Cameron Carter-Vickers has been the best player in the Scottish Premiership this season and questioned why the on-loan Spurs man has not been nominated for the Player of the Year award.
Carter-Vickers has hardly put a foot wrong during his loan spell at Celtic Park and has been a mainstay in a back four who have conceded just 19 goals all season so far.
Celtic boss Ange Posteocoglou has spoken in glowing terms about the Spurs academy graduate’s contribution this season (The Scotsman).
The Scottish giants have the option of signing the centre-back permanently for £6m and reports indicate they are working to seal the deal ahead of the summer transfer window (The Daily Record).
Cater-Vickers was named in the Scottish Premiership’s Team of the Season but the centre-back did not make the shortlist for the Player of the Year award (Daily Record).
Sutton expressed his disbelief at the fact that the 24-year-old has not been nominated for the award.
Here’s what the former Celtic man tweeted:
The best player in Scotland this season has been Cameron Carter-Vickers by a stretch… how is he not on the list?? https://t.co/TLwZO19G5y

Spurs Web Opinion
Carter-Vickers has come on considerably during his loan spells over the last two years and I was not surprised to see him do so well at Celtic. There will likely be plenty of EFL clubs after him this summer and Spurs will hope to get a bidding war going and drive his price up.
