Pundit claims Spurs would compete for PL title if all players were like one star

Tim Sherwood has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur would be competing for the Premier League title if all the players had Son Heung-min’s attitude.

Son’s recent form was a matter of concern heading into Tottenham’s London derby against West Ham on Sunday.

However, the South Korean certainly silenced his critics with a typically energetic display. Not only did the 29-year-old find the back of the net twice but he also looked dangerous every time he got on the ball.

Following his two strikes on Sunday, Son is now joint second with Diogo Jota in the race for the Premier League Golden boot, with only Mohamed Salah having scored more than him this season (Premierleague.com).

Sherwood opined that it is not just the Spurs star’s ability but also his willingness to learn that makes him such a special player. He insisted that the former Bayer Leverkusen man would be an asset to any side in world football.

The former Tottenham interim boss told Premier League productions: “He stands up to be counted. He wants to learn. He wants to learn new systems from the new manager.

“If they were all like him, then we wouldn’t have a problem. Forget the Champions League spot, they would be pushing towards the title.

“This guy can play for anyone. He can play for anyone in the Premier League, Heung-Min Son is that good.”

Players with world-class ability are usually arrogant and need their egos stroked, as one sees with the likes of Pogba and co. That is why we are so lucky to have both Kane and Son. Not only are they two of the best players in the world but they are fantastic people, who put the team ahead of themselves.
