Pundit claims that Daniel Levy will not ‘bend for anybody’ and let this star leave

Liverpool legend, Steve Nicol, has confidently asserted that Daniel Levy will not allow Harry Kane to leave Spurs and believes the striker has no choice but to stay put in North London.

Speculation has been growing over Kane’s future in the last few weeks, with one report suggesting that the England captain is frustrated with Tottenham’s progress or lack thereof (Telegraph).

He has been linked with a move to Manchester United (Express) as well as Juventus (Tuttosport via Sport Witness) with a fee of around £150 million being suggested for the striker.

However, Nicol believes that there is simply no chance that the Spurs chairman would consider selling Kane, no matter the price.

The England striker signed a contract with the club a year and a half ago that runs until the summer of 2024. Nicol believes the striker will not be allowed to leave with so long left to run on his deal.

When asked about the possibility of Kane leaving the club, Nicol told ESPN FC: “Well, unfortunately for him, he signed a long-term deal and Daniel Levy’s not a guy who’s going to bend for anybody.

“To me, I just don’t see how Harry Kane, whether he wants to go or not, is going.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Anybody who thinks Daniel Levy will allow Harry Kane to leave is incredibly naive. The Spurs chairman has proven in the past that he is more than ready to stand his ground even if the player demands to leave. Besides, Kane is not the type of player who is going to sulk if he doesn’t get a move.
