Pundit claims that two goalkeepers linked with Spurs are worth €50m

Former Turkey international Oktay Derelioglu has claimed that Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayindir and Trabzonspor’s Ugurcan Cakir, who have both rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar are worth €50m (£43m).

Bayindir only joined Fenerbahce last summer but his stock has risen considerably on the back of his impressive performances for the Turkish giants this season.

It was reported that the 21-year-old caught the eye of Spurs, Sheffield United and German outfit Hertha Berlin (Fotospor), with the North Londoners even said to have sent a delegation to Turkey last month to hold talks with Fenerbahce over the youngster (Fanatik).

Cakir has been a consistent performer between the sticks for Trabzonspor for a number of years and it was claimed that Tottenham had an offer for the 24-year-old rejected by the Turkish club last summer. (Karadeniz Gazete).

Derelioglu believes that two Turkish internationals are bound to reach the top in the coming years and could command a sizable fee in the transfer window.

He told Hurriyet:” Within a few years (Altay could play for) Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona or Chelsea.

“Cakir has the quality to play for Real Madrid. Altay and Ugurcan should cost 50 million euros (£43m).

“In my opinion, the best squad of the league is Fenerbahçe’s. But if it were not for Altay Bayındir, the team could have around 48-49 points.”

Despite the rumours linking Lloris with a move back to France, I expect Tottenham to try their hardest to get the Frenchman to sign a contract extension. I believe the 34-year-old certainly has a couple of years left in him at the top level and it would be too expensive to find a replacement of suitable quality this summer.
